Charlotte Germonpré won the Helaers Stroke price
The Helaers Research Prize for Stroke is an annual prize since 2017, with the aim of fostering the development of a young researcher. The prize is awarded to a researcher in the field of vascular neurology, with a project at the crossroads of fundamental, epidemiological, technological and clinical research. The project must be likely to generate medical benefits, in particular an improvement of the quality of life of seniors and must be likely to be published.
The Prize is funded by the Suzanne Thérèse Helaers foundation and the current prize amount is 3000 EUR. Every year, the prize is awarded on the scientific symposium of the Belgian Stroke Council, by André Peeters, president of the BSC and Nicole Braekman, president of the Helaers Foundation.
